Brigitte Campbell was laid to rest June 15 in her native Houston. A graduate of Dallas Baptist University, the mother of two worked in Career Services at North Lake College and wrote a monthly column about her department in the News-Register until she left in 2007 to pursue a teaching job at the Winston School.
She was a single mother and is survived by her two children, Michael, 21, and daughter Brichael, 16, and a brother Donald Washington.
Known at the Winston School for her patience, understanding and “willingness to help in any and every way at school and in life in general,” Campbell kept on giving after she died.
Through organ donation, she helped save the lives of 13 people.
